Jamie MacGillivray was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1994. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick. Jamie has exclusively practiced personal injury and insurance law since 1999. He is an active member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association.
In 2009 and 2010 Jamie was named by his peers as a Leading Practitioner in the field of personal injury litigation by Lexpert, he was the youngest lawyer in Canada to receive this award. Jamie has an interest in using litigation to help fight industry practices that are destructive to the environment, and to provide a check and balance against the increasing power of multi-national corporations. Jamie believes that this is what Plaintiff personal injury law is really about.
Jamie was born in 1969 in Pictou County where he now resides with his wife Lisa and their three children, Zoe, Maya, and Gage.
