Jennifer Langille was born and raised in the little community of Caribou, located in rural Pictou County. Jennifer attended West Pictou, keeping herself busy outside of school as a longtime member of the Heatherbell Girls Pipes and Drums. After graduating from West Pictou in 2001, she spent a year studying at Saint Mary’s University before attending Saint Francis Xavier University. She graduated from St. F.X. in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Political Science and Sociology. Jennifer then attended Dalhousie Law School, during which time she juggled a part-time position as a Caseload Planner for the Victorian Order of Nurses. She also spent a semester at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic. Jennifer graduated with her LL.B. in 2008.
Upon completing her studies, Jennifer promptly returned to Pictou County, eagerly accepting an articling opportunity with MacGillivray Law Office. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2009.
